{review} That’s Nat series

My two younger daughters are the kind of girls that turn everything into an event. We going to the store becomes ‘It’s MommyAddieLauren Day!’ and everyone must dress accordingly for this special occasion. Or for some unknown reason, dinner will be a formal occasion on a Tuesday and they dress up like princesses. Or the bug that crawled across their foot is desperately looking for it’s mother and they have to save it. I could go on. They are full-of-life kinda girls! That’s why this book series is absolutely perfect for them.

The That’s Nat series consists of six books all written about Natalie, a precocious five year old that loves everything about life. The books are written in the first person so as you read, you hear what the world looks like through the eyes of a five year old girl. It is pretty funny at times! And maybe a little frightening as you read her logic behind coloring the bathroom walls.

These books are perfect for us because they keep my ‘event’ making girls entertained. The chapters are short – averaging 5 pages – and they’re always a cliffhanger to make you want to keep reading. The last chapter is always focused on Natalie turning everything that she’s learned back to God and how He loves her. They are poignant, childlike lessons but they definitely drive home the point. God loves you, little one. God is for you and He thinks you’re wonderful. God will always be there for you.

We are really enjoying our trip through the That’s Nat books. If you have ‘event’ girls, I would highly recommend that you read them as well!
