{Review & Giveaway} Well Planned Day Student Planner

{This post contains affiliate links.}

It’s planning day around here. I like to start in mid-August, working in two weeks of review and plenty of time to practice our morning routine. {Translation: Mommy needs to remember how to be nice before she drinks her coffee.} This year, we were blessed to receive a copy of the Well Planned Day Student Planner for my daughter Lael to review.  She is starting 7th grade and we both wanted her to have a bit more independence with planning her time.

 Lael chose the floral cover, but this planner is also available with a more masculine cover.
The inside of the planner is equally as pretty, while not being dowdy. She also really likes the little birds that are scattered through the planner. Bonus points for that one, Well Planned Day. Little birds and owls are all the rage in our house.

The student planner has a year at a glance as well as a schedule page for each semester.  (As you can see, handwriting should be first on that schedule.)

Each month at a glance covers two pages – lots of space for writing in important things like the youth group camping trip and her bestie’s slumber party. Tween girls are so fun, aren’t they? Everything is exciting. It’s a little hard to keep up with sometimes but really, they’re just fun.

On the pages following each month, there are two pages for Notes.  This might be my favorite feature.  Lots of space for Lael to write phone numbers, reminders and memory verses. I really love this.

Each week is on a two page spread. Again, plenty of room to write assignments and activities.  There is also a catechism lesson for each week.  Lael really likes how much space there is for each day, as well as a spot for weekend plans.

At the end of the planner, there is a reference section that Lael has renamed her cheats. Haha. Silly girl thinks I am going to let her flip through there during a test. Tweens crack me up.

Various things like parts of speech, commonly misspelled words, measurement equivalents, multiplaction tables as well as history and science facts are loaded into the back of the planner.

The very end of the planner has a year at a glance for 2014-2015 as well as more pages for notes. And more cute little birds!

Over all, Lael loves her planner. She keeps it opened, on her desk, so she can always know what she’s supposed to be doing. The only thing I wish was stuck in this planner somewhere was a page for chores or responsibilities. If it had that, it would be completely perfect.

And now for the giveaway!!  Well Planned Day would like to give one blessed reader a copy of the Student Planner in the winner’s choice of floral or tech style.  All you have to do is enter below.  The giveaway will end on August 23 at noon. Good luck!

And the winner is….
